FAQ's
Do I need to book a Consultation?

Botox/Dysport
What areas can Botox/Dysport treat? Botox/Dysport can be used to treat: • Crow’s feet around the eyes • Horizontal lines on the forehead • Wrinkles between the eyebrows (aka "11's") How much Botox/Dysport will I need? The amount of Botox/Dysport you’ll need depends entirely on a few contributing factors. These include: • The type of wrinkles you would like to treat • Your unique aesthetic goals • The degree of muscle movement in your face • The number of times you've had Botox/Dysport in the past • Your health history How long does Botox/Dysport Last? The results typically last between 3-5 months from the date of injection. Over time the body metabolises the Botox/Dysport, leading to the slow return of muscle movement in the treatment area. Patients can choose to maintain their results for longer periods by undergoing periodic maintenance treatments every 3-4 months. Is there any downtime post treatment? Botox/Dysport requires minimal downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after application. You can expect some redness and possibly swelling after application, more sensitive skin types may slightly bruise which can last up to two weeks. Concealer can be used to cover any bruising you may experience while it fades. What is the difference between Botox/Dysport and Dermal Filler? People easily get these two types of injectables confused all the time, but here’s an easy way to distinguish between the two: Botox/Dysport is for limiting muscle movement, fillers are for building volume. Botox/Dysport reduces the activity of muscles in the face that cause wrinkles. Facial fillers, work by filling the trouble areas with a gel made up of hyaluronic acid - this helps to plump and lift the skin to replace volume loss.
Dermal Filler
What are Dermal Fillers? Dermal filler is a gel made up of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural carbohydrate (sugar molecule) already present in your body. It is a powerful hydrator and aids your body with collagen formation, attracts water, provides volume and increases smoothness. Dermal fillers are used to sculpt the face, enhancing your natural facial contours and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. What is the difference between Dermal Filler and Dysport? Hyperhydrosis
What is Hyperhydrosis? Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition characterised by excessive sweating. It affects up to 5% of the global population and those who suffer from this condition can sweat 4-5 times more than the average person. Essentially, the sweat glands do not shut off and are always switched “on”, meaning that the person affected sweats in circumstances that don’t call for it. How does the treatment for Hyperhydrosis work? The most effective treatment for hyperhidrosis is with Botox®. Botox® for hyperhydrosis is an injectable procedure that helps control the symptoms of severe underarm sweating by blocking the nerve signals responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. How long does it last? Retreatment is typically needed in four to six months, as the nerves regenerate. Over time, however, patients can go longer between treatments.
Profhilo
What is Profhilo? Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. A unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo® stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin. One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. What areas can Profhilo treat? The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck however it can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area - anywhere where it would effectively treat skin laxity. How Does Profhilo® Work? Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. It also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
Belkyra
What is Belkyra? Belkyra is an injectable treatment that contains deoxycholic acid as the active ingredient. It non-surgically reduces fat under the chin, resulting in a more contoured neck profile and jawline. How many treatments will I need? Belkyra is administered approximately every four to six weeks by injecting small amounts into the treatment area until the desired result is achieved.
